SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES

Join us in-person Sundays at 8:00 a.m. (Traditional service) and 10:30 am (Contemporary service). Masks are requested to be worn at all time in both services.  The 10:30 am service is live-streamed and a replay is available afterward on our Youtube channel.  At this time Sunday School is not available.

We ask that you please remain at home if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

– If you are currently diagnosed with Covid-19 or you have been exposed to someone who has recently been diagnosed as having Covid-19.
– If you are running a fever.
– If you have persistent upper respiratory symptoms.
– If you consider yourself to be high risk or you have health related complications and you do not feel safe in larger public gatherings.
– If you are not feeling healthy and well.

Our onsite services are designed for those who DO NOT consider themselves high-risk and who are comfortable being in public places with large groups.

Before you arrive on Sundays:

  • Please be aware the childcare is NOT available for the 8:00 am service. Please plan accordingly.

  • During the 10:30 am service, the Library is set up to be used for families with small children and the International Room is available for nursing mothers and/or parents with infants.

  • Our Junior Church ministry will be available for children in grades 1 to 4 during our 10:30 am service. CLICK HERE or more information about the guidelines that we have set up for Junior Church.

When you arrive for service:

  • Upon arrival, thank you for wearing a face covering while you are in the building.

  • Friends and family members who have been in community together are welcome to sit together as a group.

What other measures are we taking as a church?

  • We will not have hot drinks available, but feel free to bring your own bottled water.

  • We will not be handing out bulletins or passing offering plates during the service. You can give online at www.bethesdaec.org/give or drop your tithes off at the Welcome Counter.

  • Doors will open 30 minutes before each service time and will be propped open for your convenience as you enter and exit.

  • Routine cleaning and sanitizing of our entire facility will continue as part of our standard operating procedures.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available at various areas throughout the building for those who wish to use it. We encourage everyone to wash their hands as a general healthy habit.

  • Please click here for a full copy of our Covid-19 Compliance Standards.

OTHER WEEKLY SERVICES

At this time we are not offering Wednesday evening bible studies or children's ministries. We are hoping to resume these ministries in the spring.

Additional thoughts from our Pastors:

This plan we are using is not meant to be permanent, nor is it perfect. We are aware of the competing opinions in our community and on social media surrounding the pandemic. The leadership has chosen to err on the side of caution and ask that we not allow these situations to divide the church into factions and undermine what God desires to do throughout our community.

As your leaders, we want you to hear our hearts. Our mission remains constant: to preach the good news to those in need. We desire to posture ourselves as an invitational church and not as a church that is arrogant and better than other fellowships, nor as a church that feeds the flames of fear and panic. We want to be a healing community for people to find restoration in Jesus Christ.

We are praying for God's Spirit to bring an awakening to his people that will promote the good news to people in our surrounding regions. We hope that you will join with us in that prayer and that you will remain unified in partnering with us in ministry. Regardless of where you stand on all of the above, we love you and God loves you and the church has a mission to fulfill in every age. Let’s keep our focus on Jesus and the God we serve.
